IRVINGTON RESIDENCE

This rare early 1800’s farmhouse was purchased as an estate in serious disrepair. Located in Irvington, New York, adjacent to the Hudson River and across the street from the landmark Octagon house. The original barn, was painstakingly restored, including the copper cupolas, fireplaces, weathervanes, gutters and hand hewn, axe cut beams and columns.

The original heavy timber, post and beam construction yielded large span unobstructed spaces. The kitchen area was updated with custom Italian hardwood lacquered cabinetry, custom stainless steel and quartzite counters. The slick, modern millwork compliments the rustic, the hand hewn columns and terracotta floors. New large span windows were introduced to connect the interior with the landscaped poolside and views.
